Pegasus | New Residence | El Jebel, Colorado

🔨Project Update: The Pegasus House! What we like about this project is that it is designed to fit within its environment. Everything—from the curved, driveway approach utilizing rockery walls, the inverse boomerang shape of the structure inset into the hillside, to the high, rear courtyard and terraced gardens—is intentionally designed to work within the restrictions of a very rugged, sloped site. Structurally it's both interesting & humbling.
The structural challenges were the hillside retainage which utilizes reinforced, concrete retaining walls with keyed footings and steel moment frames to allow for maximum views at the upper level.

Laying the foundation for a future residence! While foundations may not be the most glamorous part of a project, they are absolutely essential.
This stunning new home will feature two stories over a partial basement and crawl space, spanning approximately 7,700 sq. ft.—including a 2-bay garage (580 sq. ft.). Unique design elements include a terraced spa area and a custom interior steel stairway. This project will include large areas of glazing including 28ft long and 12ft tall glass sliders.

We worked on the interior mezzanine design for the new Qdoba in Carbondale, right next to City Market! A few of our team members were lucky enough to visit on opening day—and enjoy a free burrito! 🌯
