Central Self Storage

This project is more than meets the eye—a self-storage complex transformed into a community “Art Way”! Located just off Highway 133 at the entrance to Carbondale, it’s part of a collaboration with Carbondale Arts. What could have been an ordinary structure was reimagined as an “Art Way” along the bike path, featuring stunning sculptures and colorful murals adorning the CMU walls.
ESD provided the design of the main level monolithic concrete slab, the turndown foundation structures for the three buildings, the retaining masonry block wall at the southeast corner, and three gate foundations of similar design.
