SEnior Structural Engineer (14+ yrs)
Full-time position in Carbondale, Colorado on Western Slope
(Roaring Fork Valley - Glenwood Springs to Aspen)
$120,000 - $160,000 annual salary + excellent benefits & flexibility

We currently support the Western Slope of Colorado, including Carbondale, Aspen, Snowmass Village, Basalt, Glenwood Springs, Ouray, Ridgway, Telluride, Gypsum, Eagle, Avon, Vail, Gunnison & Crested Butte.

Base Qualifications:
B.S. and/or M.S. in Architectural, Civil or Structural Engineering
PE/SE license in CO or ability to obtain via reciprocity
14+ years of experience as a Structural Engineer designing wood, steel, concrete, masonry & other materials
8+ years of experience as a Structural Project Manager on high-end residential and other building projects: Successful management of project design/coordination, internal project teams, clients & project financials, confidence in ability to fulfill all aspects of a project.
Proficiency with structural engineering principles & applicable building/design codes
Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA, Dlubal, Enercalc, etc.
Experience w/ Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit &/or Archicad, or desire to learn & utilize the basics to optimize production
Senior Structural Engineer Responsibilities:
Collaborate effectively with clients, architects, contractors, other project team members
Engineer and oversee the structural design of wood, steel, concrete, masonry structures, including unique building materials and assemblies
Use and oversee the usage of software, technologies, building/design codes to provide efficient, clear documentation of designs & calculations
Provide and oversee excellent construction administration, including field observations & formal reports
Manage and mentor engineers & drafter/modelers
Foster strong relationships with our community, clients, architects, contractors, fabricators, engineers & building departments
Be ethical, professional, proactive & thoughtful

Advanced BIM experience
Advanced knowledge of applicable technology
